New Signage on Marlborough Street

I draw your attention once again the ‘intersection’ of Marlborough St and the Esplanade. Council have placed a sign there alerting pedestrians on Marlborough Street to traffic on the Esplanade. I remind families who park along the Esplanade or in the car park at the bottom of Marlborough Street to exercise caution in this area and watch for traffic. Please remind students using this area to be extremely mindful of cars and to stop at the end of Marlborough Street and check for traffic before crossing the Esplanade.

Lost Property

Despite having a clear out of the Lost Property Box last term, it is filling fast this term and we are only at Week 2. With the re-introduction of hats this term, it’s a timely reminder for all school uniforms items to be labelled so if they do become lost, they stand the best chance of being returned.

Morning Play before school

Beginning Monday 29 October morning play before school will return to the oval. Supervision will begin at 8.20am. This will provide students with the opportunity to run and play ball games on the oval. For those children who wish to be still and talk with friends, the grandstand is available as is more quiet spaces around the perimeter of the oval. The playground and Nature Play space will remain out of bounds in the morning before school, as is the  convent  courtyard, unless children are directly supervised by their own parent or caregiver. Our library remains open and it’s been great to see children and parents in the library reading, sharing texts and borrowing books.
