Hello Friends

What a thoroughly fantastic night we enjoyed at the Middle School Dance Performance last night. I know the audience was dancing in their seats and bopping out to the music. Congratulations to the Middle School students and teachers on a great job, well done. Thanks also to Miss Lia and Miss Gemma for their tuition throughout this term.

Congratulations

Congratulations to our Star of the Sea Under 12 soccer Team on making the KNOCKOUT CUP FINAL. They will be playing against Grange Primary School in an evening match under lights.

There is nothing like some strong sideline cheers to help our talented side get over the line.

So lock the date in your calendar, it will be an excellent way to end the school term. I look forward to seeing everyone there.

Date: Friday 6 July
Venue: Pirate Park - John Hart Reserve, Swan Terrace, Ethelton
Time: 6.30pm Kick Off
Military Rd – Morning Drop Zone

I remind parents and friends that the Drop Off Zone on Military Rd in the morning before school is exactly that, a drop off zone. Please refrain from remaining parked in the area and walking into school or using the space as a parking zone.

Seaview Rd Afternoon Pick up

I also remind parents and friends that it illegal to park in the clearway zones on Seaview Rd. A number of vehicles have been spotted parking at the pedestrian crossing line on the school side of the crossing in the afternoon. Not only it is this illegal, but it makes it very difficult for other motorists to sight pedestrians crossing Seaview Rd. Thanks for your cooperation and your observance of the road rules.

Notice of Road Construction – Commencing in July

Please be advised that there will be road reconstruction on Marlborough Street, Fulham Gardens/Henley Beach commencing in July and will take approximately 6 months. Please refer to Council’s website where you will find a Concept Plan, further information and project updates http://www.charlessturt.sa.gov.au/page.aspx

I wish all members of the Star of the Sea School community a safe and happy Term 2 break. I trust you will enjoy some well-deserved ‘down-time’ and return to school in Term 3 refreshed and invigorated, ready for another term of engagement and learning.

Thanks and Blessings
