Father’s Day Breakfast

Although it seems a little while ago, I wanted to extend a big thanks to all our Dads and significant people who came along to the Fathers Day Brekki on 31 August. There were approximately 160 dad who came on the day and enjoyed a cooked bacon and egg roll. Fr John and Fr Krish gave all of our special people and Dads a blessing and children were walked to their classes.

Cyber safety

With the school term break coming up and the ever changing and evolving world of technology, I encourage parents to access the link to continue the education for parent around cyber safety and education in the home.

I encourage parents to become a member of the Office of the esafety Commissioner. The site contains a lot of useful information and tips for parents to remain informed about this important area of children’s lives. I also ask you to consider the following questions regarding your children and screen time/cyber time:

  • How much time each day does your child spend in front of a screen
  • How much screen time is unsupervised time
  • Who are children talking to/gaming with/interacting with online
  • Are devices in bedrooms at night or do they ‘sleep in the kitchen or a common space in the home
  • Are all apps that children have access to on devices age appropriate?

I'm sounding like Oprah, but if you're not practicing contentment where you are now, you're not getting contentment when you get what you want. Tony Hale

Thanks and Blessings
