Parking

Last week I wrote about our parking restrictions and traffic signs around our school. After school pick up is a busy time and I ask for courtesy and vigilance in ensuring the safety of your child and the safety of others. Please use the pick up lane if there is room to do so, not park on the yellow lines or leave your car unattended. There may be times when you may have to drive around the block to queue again. Please feel free to use the Church car park and walk to the school, using the crossing on Malborough Street to meet your child on the school grounds. SAPOL often patrol the area and fine parents so I advise you to always exercise caution and obey the signs. I thank you for your understanding.

Learning Assistance Program

We welcomed some new and existing members of our LAP volunteer program at our Morning Tea this week and thank them for taking on this wonderful service for our school. Over the years students have benefited enormously from the adults who have come to support them. Many work together from Reception right through to the end of the school life here at Star of the Sea.  If you or someone you know would like to be involved it is not too late and we would love to hear from you!

Enjoy the weekend ahead,
