AGM – Final Plug

Our Annual General Meeting will be held next Tuesday evening at 7:00pm in the Multi-purpose room. We will be offering a creche for school age children to support your attendance at the meeting. As well as the sharing of reports for the 2018 school year, we warmly welcome Lisa Burman who will share the pedagogy of Spelling with you all. We look forward to seeing you there.

Sports Day

Sports Day is fast approaching and is always a well-received event on our school calendar. It will be held on Thursday 11th April at Henley Oval, which will also be our last day of school this term.  Students are to be dropped off at the oval in the morning.

In order to generate team spirit, we have given students permission to wear hair colour, coloured zinc cream and coloured nail polish on Thursday as long as it is applied at home. Students are asked not to be excessive with the application of zinc creams. We don’t want to see children completely covered in coloured zinc. Can we please be environmentally aware and so I ask that there be no crepe paper, as it is difficult to clean up at the end of the day.

Many thanks to the P&F who will be cooking the BBQ and serving drinks and to Amanda Ford in the Canteen, ensuring we are fed and watered. If you are available to help cook or serve on the day, please let the P&F know. We also appreciate the help from parents with classes supporting the teachers. If you are available to assist, even for a short while, please let your class teacher know.

On the day we will also have a food truck and coffee van catering for all the adults, visitors and toddlers with a variety of food choices. Look out the menu flyer in the newsletter with options and prices. I look forward to seeing you on the day.
